2022 World Ranking List Now Available!
After a hiatus for 2020 and 2021 due to the lack of consistent international and national championships as a result the Covid pandemic, the WMF has returned to publishing the world ranking list for youth, seniors and general class players. The 2022 rankings are now available on the WMF website.
The world ranking calculations are based on a variety of factors incorporating finishes in international tournaments, such as the World Championships and the World Adventure Golf Masters, as well as continental championships and sanctioned national tournaments. Given that minigolfers often do not have a chance to compete directly against each other multiple times during the year (as say in golf, skiing or other international sports), these calculations are used as proxy to determine top in categories based on the agreed rubric. In 2024 certain changes were made to the calculations based on continued research and feedback. Those changes are available on the WMF website.
Congratulations to the following individuals who finished at the top of their categories for 2022:
General Class Women - Sarah Schumacher (GER)
General Class Men - Carl-Johan Ryner (SWE)
